Let's Lift Every Voice and Sing...my Tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr.

Let’s Lift Every Voice and Sing…

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Courageous, Faithful, God Fearing, Loving, Obedient Servant and Honorable man. Even posthumously, Dr. King, Jr. still inspires us to be better, bolder, honorable, as well as, loving, diligent and tenacious. We are inspired to always seek God’s Will for our lives so that we may be well equipped to reach and fulfill our Destinies.

We won’t soon forget the Power this man had to change the course of this Nation’s perspective on equality, stance on segregation and laws that prevented minorities/Blacks/African Americans from sharing public spaces, pursuing jobs education, the right to Vote (fairly), careers, business opportunities or higher salaries. The previous ‘accepted’ way of life kept the prevailing White majority, unethical, unlawful, unruly, prejudiced and quite frankly Un American. The overwhelming insolence and ignorance to what is Right or Just separated Americans and demeaned an entire race. Dr. King said it best when he stated, “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” As Martin Luther King, Jr. was inspired by God and Ghandi, in Mahatma Ghandi’s words, “Be the change you want to see in the World.” Dr. King, Jr., took that inspiration to heart and stood firm in his beliefs and stayed the course, triumphant through non-violent means. His audacious vigilance revered by many, changed the Country and World’s perspective on tolerance, diversity and race relations. For many Dr. King, Jr.’s action changed everything and as a result everything changed for us all.

Martin Luther King, Jr., remains an integral part of the fabric of our lives for generations past, present and future. Today we celebrate a ‘King’ Today we lift up Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (Thank You.)
